Nurse-based assessments
Sometimes, it can help if a MARS vulnerability assessment is undertaken by a healthcare professional – one of MorganAsh’s qualified nurses.
Independent, professional, customer vulnerability assessments
Most MARS vulnerability assessments are undertaken by the consumer – or by an agent, adviser or user on the consumer’s behalf. However, there are some circumstances where it may be beneficial for a healthcare professional to undertake the assessment as a qualified, independent third party.
Most employees within financial firms are neither trained nor experienced in healthcare matters – and may well be uneasy in assessing those with serious health issues, mental health conditions, people who have suffered from bereavement, those with learning difficulties and so on. Indeed, it is unfair to expect employees to cope with such circumstances. Therefore, it may be more appropriate to assign these cases to a medical professional – someone who does have the training and expertise for these interviews.
Assessment by a qualified nurse
One of MorganAsh’s team of qualified nurses can work through the assessment, with the consumer, on the telephone – so that firms can be sure that responses provided are dependable and representative of the customer’s circumstances.
Independence to evidence impartiality
For some high-value transactions, it may be prudent to have customer vulnerability assessments undertaken by an independent third party, to provide both the confidence and robust evidence needed to demonstrate that there was no bias or coercion involved in the assessment.
This service is primarily intended for customers of MARS, the MorganAsh Resilience System, and an additional fee apply.
