Our work in action

Care Navigator

It’s massively challenging when people need to find long-term care for themselves, or for their loved ones. This can be when planning in advance, or it can be when circumstances suddenly change. There’s no single place to go for information – comparing care options and care homes takes a lot of time, energy and often specialist knowledge. And, of course, this is also an emotionally tough time for all involved.

The service

We provide expert support and guidance for those seeking to put care in place for themselves or loved ones. Our role is to both share the burden, making things easier, and to proactively manage the process. A named healthcare professional provides the kind of support and guidance that only years of experience can deliver – and brings about a faster result.

Features

  • A dedicated, named healthcare professional manages each case.

  • We take a thorough brief, based on the person’s specific needs – and assess possible solutions to best meet those needs.

  • We understand the complexities of comparing different care solutions.

  • We provide unhurried and detailed explanations of the options available.

  • We cut through a lot of the red tape often associated with sourcing care services.

  • We provide emotional support and unbiased help and guidance.

  • The organisation of second opinions for difficult cases.

Benefits

  • A faster, better resolution to each person’s care needs.

  • Reduces the risk of having to accept a less than optimal solution simply because time is pressing or alternatives are hard to find.

  • Sharing the challenge with someone who understands every aspect of it provides greater confidence in the choice of care options.

  • Unbiased help and guidance.

Expert help, from experienced nurses

Our service is entirely staffed by experienced nurses – people who not only understand the physical, mental and emotional needs of those requiring senior care, but who also are used to listening, caring and providing empathy. Their role is to understand a person’s specific needs and then to match those needs to the most suitable care – whether that’s to be provided at home, or in a care home.

Balanced, unbiased guidance

Our only concern is helping a person, or that person’s loved ones, find the right care. We’re not on commission. We don’t get any kind of financial incentive. Our service is either paid for as part of an insurance policy or other financial service – or is paid for directly by a customer. We provide guidance you can trust.
